  • 1 kg Chicken - Small Cut
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
  • Salt to Taste


  • 10-12 Kashmiri dry red chilies
  • 1/2 Tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 Tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/4 Tsp Fennel seeds
  • 2 Tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp black pepper cones
  • 4-5 Garlic pods
  • Little tamarind


  • 3 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1 Small piece Jaggery
  • Cashew Nuts
  • Curry Leaves


  1. Mix the Marination Ingredients from above and Marinate the chicken for 2 hours.
  2. Fry all the ingredients required for Masala in a pan and grind them with some water to make a fine paste
  3. Now, Take 3 Tbsp of Ghee in a frying pan and fry the marinated chicken until it's half cooked and keep the chicken aside.
  4. In the same pan add the grinded masala paste and fry for 5-8 mins.
  5. Add the chicken & cook for a while, Also add some curry leaves, A small piece of Jaggery, and a few Cashew nuts until it's roasted well.
  6. Garnish with some Coriander or Parsley and your Chicken Ghee Roast is ready to Serve.
